Gautam Adani, during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, announced that the investment is projected to bring about 1 lakh job opportunities.
On January 10, the Chairperson of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, revealed plans for a Rs 2 lakh crore investment in Gujarat.
The emphasis is on establishing a green energy park, touted to be visible from space.
Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Gautam Adani mentioned that the investment announced would create approximately 1 lakh jobs.
Adani noted the Adani Group’s prior commitment of Rs 55,000 crore at the previous summit, revealing that Rs 50,000 crore had already been utilized across diverse projects.
The Ahmedabad-based ports-to-power conglomerate is in the process of constructing a massive green energy park in Kutch with a staggering 30 GW capacity.
This expansive project will cover 25 square kilometers and is designed to be visible from space.
Adani highlighted India’s economic achievements since 2014, citing a 185 percent growth in GDP and a 165 percent growth in per capita income, despite facing various geopolitical and pandemic-related challenges.
“We are expanding the green supply chain for an “Atmanirbhar” Bharat and creating the largest integrated renewable energy ecosystem.
This includes solar panels, wind turbines, hydrogen electrolyzers, green ammonia, PVC, and expansions in copper and cement production,” Adani said.
Scheduled from January 10 to 12, the summit, themed ‘Gateway to the Future,’ celebrates a decade of success.
